U13 Girls beat Rathdown 1-0 in an exciting final

U13 Girls beat Rathdown 1-0 in an exciting final on Thursday at Three Rock Rovers.
Fantastically and fanatically supported by most of the Senior School girls.
Led by Judy Fitzpatrick St Gerard’s finally broke the deadlock early in the second half with a well executed goal

Scored by Jennifer Courtney assisted by Elena Tice ( daughter of past pupil Scarlet Philips!). St Gerard’s were worthy winners in the end with over 70 pct of possession. However Rathdown defended strongly through out. Great defending by Judy F and Pippa O Reilly

Ensured that St Gerard’s won their first Leinster cup in over 20 years. A closely knit team that surely will go on to more glory as they move up through the Senior school. Well done one and all.!!! Aisling Byrne,Mia Cullen, Sara O Loughlin were superb throughout this tough close encounter.
